Our SMPs

Extensive research enabled the development of SMPs with superior performance. Under the brand name Si-PolyU we offer three SMPs for different fields of application.

Our SMPs are moderately viscous, slightly polar liquid polymers, which were developed for formulating solvent- and isocyanate-free sealants and elastic adhesives. The polymers feature a polypropylene oxide backbone that is terminated with trimethoxysilyl groups. When exposed to moisture the polymers cure at ambient temperature. The formulations based on these polymers show good adhesion to a large number of substrates, eliminating the need for time-consuming substrate pre-treatment or the use of primers.
